iCook x STEAM: FREE Kitchen Science Series

 STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics. In these series Education Beyond Cooking: Kitchen Science, we will allow kids to experience science in a new way: delicious, relatable and fun! This course will allow kids to connect their STEAM knowledge to everyday activities and events and, as a result deepen their understanding of and interest in science. 

Classes on Tuesdays 11.30 am -12.00pm

June 23 - Science: Flavored Butter x STEAM Connection: Mixtures in Chemical Engineering 

July 7 - Technology: Marvelous Marbles x STEAM Connection: Molecular Gastronomy 

July 21 - Engineering: Cinnamon Apples x STEAM Connection: Enzymatic Browning 

August 4 - Art: Ice Cream Age x STEAM Connection: Modeling Glaciers 

August 18 - Mathematics: Slime-Y Science x STEAM Connection: Working with Ratios 

Supplies: we are keeping supplies to the minimum, you will receive a list of supplies for each class once you register

Important: This will be a large group live cooking class held via Zoom. Once you register you will receive a link to the meeting. No special equipment is required, you can use your phone or computer to participate in the class. Adult supervision may be required for some of the activities.
