Onboarding Requirements

Completion of required training, orientation, and background check is required before you can begin teaching.

Clearance

California Department of Justice Background Check - Fingerprinting

Schedule an appointment at any Live Scan Location

Bring the Request for Live Scan Form with you
-
When asked whether you'd like to complete state and/or FBI fingerprinting, select state level only
-
Send us a copy of your completed Live Scan form once finished

Tuberculosis (TB) Screening or Test
-
If you have already been tested for TB or have completed a TB Risk Assessment within the last 4 years and can provide documentation, that will meet the requirement.

Option A: TB Test: Go to a clinic and get a TB test. See the TB Test Guide for where to go and what to expect. Submit a copy of your results once done.
Option B: TB Risk Assessment (via a Primary Care Practitioner): Bring the TB Risk Assessment Form to your PCP for completion. Submit a copy of the completed form once done.

Sexual Abuse & Molestation Awareness | 1 hour - $20 | Deadline: within 30 days | Access via Abuse Prevention Systems - login sent to email

Mandated Reporter Training | 1.5 hours - $30 | Deadline: within 30 days | Access via link above | please submit your certificate

CA Harassment Prevention | 1 hour - $20 | Deadline: within 30 days | Access via link above; please submit your certificate upon completion to be paid for the training
Total: 5.5 hours - $110 total compensation
You may also be invited to periodic District Launch meetings for compensation of $20/meeting (1 hour long)
